Fabien Barrero’s ‘Phare de forêt’ lamp, ‘forest lighthouse’ in French, is a tower with a light source on best that can illuminate a desk or table best.

“It enables to illuminate superficially the surface to write or to read for illustration.” says Barrero. “Next to a sofa or in the angle of the residing space, it produces a superb ambiance.”

Combining conventional craftsmanship with contemporary design and style, Barrero works with artisans in France and locally sourced supplies to produce the restricted edition lamps. The lamp’s entire body is produced of Ash wood and the “lantern room” on top is hand created ceramic.

Phare de forêt is at the moment on show at the DMY Worldwide Layout Festival Berlin until June one, 2014.
