Baekhyeon-dong is divided in almost equal elements by its main café street. The buildings in the surrounding areas are similarly subdivided by their function the lower and ground amounts are commercial, and the very first and second ranges are typically residential. Amidst this sea of homogeneity, these structures engage in a quiet struggle for distinction, through the variation of kind and supplies, Of these, the building at street deal with amount 582 is a music company owned by an IT business. Sitting at a fortuitous corner, it serves as a uncommon contrast to the numerous other constructions in Baekhyeon-dong that fail to make the most of their areas.
The undertaking was pretty much unrestricted, apart from the 2 requests: to create the most excellent creating in the whole area, and to make the rooftop spacious enough to accommodate events. My most significant considerations for the task were to maximize of its character, corner, in the most amazing method feasible, and to develop a organic flow of circulation major up to the structure’s rooftop. Amongst a range of choices, I chose to go with curved walls, which developed the illusion of 2-side walls forming a continual complete, as properly as 2 diverse roads appearing as one. The resulting scene played out have a unique layout, as effectively as linking the developing to its context. A stage was inserted into the curved surface, following to the stairs climbing up to and above it, here moulding the streets into seats for the audience and the staircase as alcoves.
