A 700 meter extended raised wooden path hyperlinks a beach-like park with 6 kilometres of pedestrian trails in Topiaris Landscape Architecture’s Tagus Linear Park in Póvoa de Santa Iria, Portugal.
“The Tagus Linear Park combines 2 diverse typologies of spaces: A single multifunctional region named ‘Praia dos Pescadores’ (Fishermen’s Seaside), set by the riverside within a former sand deposit, and 6 km of pedestrian trails linked with grime roads, waterlines banks (streams and drainage ditches), which converge to Praia dos Pescadores, coming from urban and natural places.” says Topiaris.

“The connection among the ‘beach’ and natural places is manufactured via a 700m lengthy raised wooden path by which a Bird Observatory built from previous pallets can be reached.”
