Task description
The Undertaking is found inside of the city and consists of a 2 level house, made for a young couple with 3 children.
The residence is placed at the back end of the plot, with a longitudinal north-south orientation. This permits avoiding visual speak to with neighbors, taking benefit of the views of the surrounding all-natural environment, and obtaining the proper ventilation, thermic comfort and luminosity handle of the home.
The home has been designed with a roof of structural laminated wood supported by steel and exposed concrete structures. This roof is the component that integrates the entire layout and composition of the house. The steel structure that supports it also defines and moderates the scale of the distinct spaces of the residence.
The style premise is to frame the surrounding views the organic ones as properly as the artificial ones designed by the architecture: patios, gardens, reflecting pool. In this sense, translucent components play an critical part in the house’s design and style, helping to intertwine interior and exterior spaces in the social places.
The programmatic and practical organization of the residence separates the social location, positioned in the first floor, from the private spot, situated in the second floor. The social region consists of numerous spaces that face and connect with each and every other and with the exterior gardens, in purchase to accomplish the versatile and dynamic spaces required by the customers. In contrast, the personal region is conceived in an introspective way, with views to personal gardens and patios.
