Seeking at the ‘Bola Kitchen Line’ kitchen by Brazilian brand Ornare it is refreshing to see colour blocking on a grand scale, used so confidently. The kitchen, portion of the ‘Higher Line’ collection, seems to reference Lego bricks. This is not the situation. Remarkably, the designer Marcelo Rosenbaum cleverly enlisted by Ornare, drew inspiration for ‘Bola’ (Ball) from his Brazilian grandmother’s kitchen to evoke a retro type.
Getting checked Rosenbaum’s portfolio, it displays the warm climate he lives in —bursting with tropical colors. The massive orange and lemon cupboards characteristic the big ball concealed handle which adds a playful twist to the streamlined range.
This is retro design but not in performance — consider state of the ar2rk.
